Redefining Research with Google Apps

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

“I will Google that” has become a staple phrase among educators and students. However, “just Googling” is not always the most effective solution for student research. During this session we will compare a traditional research process to a redefined research method using Google Apps for Education and other universally accessible educational technologies. Customized according to learning environment, participants will be grouped by content and grade level to create an interactive research guide for their own classroom. We will explore research basics by organizing resources on a Google Doc and use targeted Google Search phrases while expanding into more advanced Google Search Tools and YouTube’s video transcripts. Following the completion of this activity you will have a badge and honor and be able to say, “I will (effectively) Google that!”
