Take Your Students (or Staff) for an Amazing Race!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

An engaging lesson is really about packaging. Regardless of what subject we teach, if we wrap up our content in an ugly bag, students won’t want it no matter how great it is. However, that doesn’t have to be the case! Join this session to see how you can apply an “Amazing Race” style activity to any subject area, with examples of how it has been used with students. You’ll have an opportunity to experience the excitement of participating in one, as well as a chance to get started creating your own. This type of activity is truly a blended learning exercise with strong collaboration elements, and can even be a way to differentiate instruction. You will want to have this strategy in your toolbox! Specific Google Tools utilized include Google Forms and Google My Maps, but can include many other web based tools.
